Educo Africa is a non-profit organisation that aims to raise the quality of life of people and communities in South Africa. Emphasis is on young people with specialised focus on youth at risk or in need.
Educo Africa originated in Canada in 1969 and is now represented on five continents through Educo International Alliance of which Educo Africa is an independant member. Educo Africa, drawing on over 35 years of experience in the field of outdoor education and development, was established in 1994.
Educo Africa offers courses for all ages. Programmes take place throughout Southern Africa.

“I am delighted to receive the Educo Africa Newsletter and to read of the outstanding work of the EDUCO team and their latest achievements.
I am particularly struck by four principles Educo espouses of Vision, Passion, Leadership and Reflection. This is a balance that all of us need in our lives and we would do well to nurture them. Perhaps time for reflection is what we need most of all. We become stressed and anxious and too easily forget that taking time to be still is a great gift from God available to all of us. When we are still we can see our problems more objectively and find the strength within to overcome them and tap into the well of joy and hope that lies within each one of us.
Educo is leading many young people and not-so young people on a journey of self-discovery to become the wonderful people they were created to be. I wish them well.
